18/P067 Agenda

PLANNING APPLICATIONS

1. Application No: 18/01741/FULM (Amended Indicative Plan)
Applicant: Thoresby Estate
Proposal: Change of use from agricultural field to camping and caravan site
Address: Part of Naishs Field, Swinecote Road, Edwinstowe, Notts
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Concerns were raised about invasion of privacy, an increase in traffic, unauthorized travelers, provision of utilities & amenities close to resident’s homes, there is still insufficient information about the site including its capacity, noise disturbance. It was raised that there are already sufficient campsites in the local area.
Councillors agreed with the comments made by members of the public. Cllrs are in favour of encouraging tourists to the village as it benefits the local economy but believe there are sufficient campsites already nearby. This site will not be supervised. Cllrs do not think it is an appropriate location for a campsite and that the entrance/exit is not suitable. Not enough information has been submitted.
EPC DECISION: Object to Proposal. All above comments to be sent to NSDC. Unanimous
