The minutes were approved unanimously and signed by the Chair.

PLANNING APPLICATIONS

1. Application No: 18/00910/RMAM
Applicant: Mr Casswell
Proposal: Reserved matters application attached to planning permission 16/00337/OUTM; Outline application (all matters reserved) for residential development on the site of the former Thoresby Miners Welfare and including the hardstanding and play area opposite.
Address: Former Miners Welfare Institute, Fourth Avenue, Edwinstowe, Notts
Concerns about on road parking raised by a resident prior to meeting. Cllrs agreed that on road parking on the narrow roads could lead to obstructions. After discussion it was agreed to ask the developer to consider installing dropped kerbs for existing dwellings next to the development that do not currently have off road parking. After further discussion Cllrs objected to the number of flats proposed. Cllrs agreed it would be preferable to have bungalows in place of the flats and would ask that the design be reconsidered. There is an excess of flats in Edwinstowe for a village of this size, some of which are difficult to let, and Cllrs did not think there is a demand for further flats. There is a demand for bungalows for our aging population. Cllrs agreed that Cllr Peacock attend the NSDC Planning Committee meeting in person to present the views of Edwinstowe Parish Council. It was further agreed that Cllrs Peacock & Brooks be asked to approach Officers at NSDC in relation to availability of S106 money (for the play area at Fourth Avenue).

2. Application No: 18/00917/FUL
Applicant: Mr & Mrs Smithies
Proposal: Householder application for proposed formation of a pitched roof over the existing flat roof to the integral garage
Address: 54 Greendale Avenue, Edwinstowe, Notts

EPC DECISION: Support Proposal - unanimous
