Proposal: Householder application for a detached garage
Address: 85 Lansbury Road Edwinstowe NG21 9QH
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: No comments / objections had been received prior to the meeting.
EPC DECISION: Edwinstowe Parish Council unanimously supports the proposal.

2. Application No: 19/01016/RMAM
Applicant: Mr John Booth
Proposal: Reserved matters application for Phase 1 residential Development comprising 132no. dwellings with Access gained from the primary, central spine road (outline permission ref.16/02173/OUTM)
Address: Former Thoresby Colliery Ollerton Road, Edwinstowe, NOTTS
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: No comments / objections had been received prior to the meeting.
EPC DECISION: OBJECT TO PROPOSAL

Edwinstowe Parish Council feels this phase of the application is over intensive and lacks any green space within the phase itself. This should be addressed. We feel that the design of the houses themselves fails on creativity and also pays scant regard for the environment.

The Statement states at point 1 that sustainability is a key aim of the overall development. There are no aspects of Phase 1 that lead us to believe it is in any way sustainable e.g. the fitting of solar panels etc. There is also no children’s play area in Phase 1 which is a serious omission.

This development - particularly it layout which seeks to squeeze the maximum residential development out of every possible square metre available - is also not in keeping with the surrounding natural environment.

The council would also like to see wildlife friendly swift bricks, house-martin, sparrow parades and bat boxes built into the house design.

We would urge the planning authority to strive for a better quality and more environmentally friendly development given both the size and prominence of the site and its proximity to Sherwood Forest Nature Reserve.

3. Application No: 19/01098/FUL
Applicant: Mr & Mrs Munro
Proposal: Householder application for erection of a two storey and single storey rear extension.
Address: 49 First Avenue, Edwinstowe, NOTTS, NG21 9PJ
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: No comments / objections had been received prior to the meeting. Cllr Brooks had concerns regarding the size. However it is a big long garden, so the property should not be overbearing.

Cllr Peck raised important issue, that larger property extensions should increase the council tax band rate for the property. Size of the development could tip the property into a band B property.

EPC DECISION: Edwinstowe Parish Council unanimously supports this Proposal.

4. Application No: 19/00953/FUL
Applicant: Mr James Thomason
Proposal: Householder application for demolition of an existing attached single storey conservatory and detached single storey garage to be replaced with the erection of a two storey attached extension and larger detached single storey garage.
Address: 15 St Marys Drive, Edwinstowe, NOTTS, NG21 9LY
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: No comments / objections had been received prior to the meeting.
EPC DECISION: Edwinstowe Parish Council unanimously supports this Proposal.

A corner plot that backs onto the cemetery. All neighbouring houses have been substantially increased, so can see no reasons for objections.
