Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council held on Tuesday
19 May 2009, in the Council Chambers, Village Hall, Edwinstowe
Present: Cllrs J Pepper, M Pepper, Ward, Milne, Benham, Benson
ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
The Acting Chair welcomed Members, Public and Press to the meeting
09/001 To elect a Chairman for the ensuing year
Cllr Ward proposed Cllr J Pepper, seconded by Cllr Benham. Votes –
4 for, 1 abstention.
09/002 To receive the Chairman’s declaration of acceptance of
office
The Chair signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office
09/003 To elect a Vice Chairman for the ensuing year
As she was on leave, Cllr J Sansom had expressed her interest in the
position of Vice-Chair to the Clerk. Cllr Benham proposed Cllr J Sansom,
seconded Cllr M Pepper. Votes – 5 for, 1 abstention.
09/004 To receive the Vice Chairman’s declaration of acceptance
of office
The Declaration of Acceptance could not be signed as the Vice-Chair
was not present at the meeting.
09/005 To give approval for absent Councillors to sign declarations
of acceptance of office before 29th May 2009
Approval was given for Cllr J Sansom to sign the Declaration of Acceptance
before 29th May 2009.
09/006 Disclosures of interests by members and employees in items on
the agenda
None
09/007 To approve the minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council
held on 20th May 2008
The Minutes were approved and signed as accurate.

– work commitments. Apologies received and accepted.

applicable Councillors must ensure that they have attended the relevant,
up to date, training sessions. Decisions can be made by two or more
Councillors; therefore it is best practice for there to be three Councillors
on each Working Group.
