The High Street closure notification distributed to all High Street businesses was misleading as it said the road would be closed between Sunday 15th and Sunday 22nd February.  In the Travel and Transport Briefing  it states the High Street will only be closed on Sundays.

Disposal Of Surplus Grass Mowers

Cllr Benson felt that, subject to the condition of the mowers, the Parish Council should submit a bid for one to use on Sherwood Fields.  An alternative option would be for the Council to purchase one for use around the village and employ a part-time worker instead of using the current contractor Ulyetts.  The Chair replied that if we used our own mower and operator it would not give the same level of service as using Ulyetts and we could incur greater costs i.e. training, health & safety, maintenance of equipment etc.  Action – Clerk to ascertain the condition of the mowers from N&SDC

Remote Monitoring CCTV Systems

The Chair read the letter concerning remote monitoring CCTV systems.  It was generally felt by the meeting, and reinforced by the police, that this was well worth exploring further.  PCSO Childs stated that the Black Swan car park is a prime site for a camera due to youths congregating in the area.  Action – Clerk to pursue with Mark Henry and bring back to next March/April meeting.
