Customer Service Surgeries in Newark and Ollerton Libraries |

From w/c 5th
July NCC Customer Service Surgeries will be held at Newark and
Ollerton Libraries. Newark Library: every Monday and Wednesday
9am to 5pm, Ollerton Library: every Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm. A
Customer Services advisor will be present to provide advice and
information on all Nottinghamshire County Council services including:
Blue Badge Applications
(Disabled Parking)
Free School Meals
Highway enquiries including Travel and Transport
Household Waste Recycling Permits
Adult Social Care – Home care, Meals at Home, aids and adaptations
Childrens Services – child care, schools, safeguarding children
Benefits advice – Pensions, Attendance Allowance, DLA etc
No appointments
are needed, customers can just drop in. The Mobile Rural Contact
Point service, operated in partnership with the Police, will continue
to provide information and advice on council and Police information
to the villages of Newark & Sherwood and Bassetlaw. If you
have any queries about the new Newark and Ollerton service or
the Mobile Rural Contact Point please contact Gill Collins, Team

Gillespie Award 2010 awarded for the best community project to enhance
the local environment. Entries open to any Individual, Group or
Organisation. Entry forms & guidance notes can be obtained from
Edwinstowe Parish Council Chambers. |

At St Mary's
Church. All children aged 0-5 years are welcome. Bring along an
adult to join in an hour of activities, stories, songs and fun.

Forest Visitor Centre |
| The new
centre hopes to attract 25% more visitors which will boost the
local economy and create over 300 new jobs in the region. Plans
for the inside include a cafe and restaurant for up to 180 people,
gift shop, tourist information, an audio-visual visitor experience
and a range of flexible rooms for weddings, conferences, functions
or corporate use. Outdoor features will include a picnic area,
a children's play area and a large area for activities such as
jousting and theatre.
